Happy Birthday

Hello again.  I have another card for you.  I need some birthday cards for this month, so I will be working on them over the next few days.

I am not sure about this color scheme.  I like the coral and mint.  It is outside the box for me, not what I would normal do.  I like the fancy little fold.  In order to open the card, you have to take the ribbon completely out.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Fab N Funky - Things with Wings
Clear It Out - Fancy Folds and Dies
Just Add Ink - Color Challenge
Paper Shelter - Come Fly With Me
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes #242

I don't know if I will be back or not.  Have a good one.

Fall Flowers

Hello.  This weekend is Labor Day weekend in the USA and it is good because I am really getting into Fall already.  It is hot here, but if I stay inside in the air-conditioning I won't notice it.

After working all weekend, I am finally getting some stamping time.    I should be doing other things but I really wanted to work on a few cards.  I showed this stamp to my sister and I told her what I wanted to do with it and she said it wouldn't work.  Under all of the die cut flowers, there are some stamped flowers.  I just covered them up.

The stamp is by Make An Impression.  Years ago, they made a bunch of stamps with this duel purpose.  I haven't used them in a while and I decided to play with a few of them.  All of the punches are Punch Bunch punches.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Through The Purple Haze - Flowers
Crafty Gals - Lots of Layers (flowers and leaves)
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #48
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Autumn Colors
   Tuesday Throwdown - Just Because

Chat with you a little later.

Another surprise card

Hello again.  One more card for tonight.  After that I am probably finished for the night.  I am in the middle of a good book and it is calling to me.

I got this little Mr Fix It from Little Miss Muffet.  I thought I would make up a card and hide it for my husband.  They are in the middle of a big job and it has meant long hours and lots of headaches trying to get every thing else done around the big job.  Maybe this will be a little pick me up for him when he finds it.  I did denim overalls and a gray shirt which is what my husband wears most of the time.

The challenge at As You Like It is your two favorite embellishments and why.  I use ribbon and my perler beads more than anything.  I have a wide selection of both and can almost always find some thing that will work.  And even though, this is a masculine card, the ribbon looks good on it.

I am using it in the following challenges:
As You Like It - 2 Embellishment & Why
Just Add Ink - Cards for Male
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   2 Crafty Girls - Sketch #5

Off to enjoy my book.  Chat tomorrow.

Christmas in August

Hello and Happy Tuesday.

Yesterday when I was making the birthday boxes for work, I decided to go ahead and make some for the countdown boxes.  I need to do 6 this month and this is number 3.  It should be too hard to get a few more done this week.

Once again, this was a Sizzix treat box die.  I have had it for a lot of years and I still love it.  It cuts great and goes together easy.  I used a bunch of holly leaves from the Silhouette Online store.  I will buy the candy for these right before Thanksgiving.  I added gems for the holly berries.

I am using it for the following challenges:
Inky Impressions - Christmas in August
   Artistic Inspiration - Anything Goes
   Crafty Hazelnut's - Anything Goes

I should be back later with some thing else.  But I have some housework to do first.

Me again

Wow, three cards in one day.  That is a first in quite a while.  I have enjoyed playing around tonight.

A couple of weeks ago, I took out my Papertrey Friendship Jar set, I love this set and I haven't use the summer one in a while.  I had really meant to use the flags for the 4th of July, but I ran out of time.  Strawberry season ended some time ago also, but I buy strawberries until late late summer so I don't know why I can't use them on my card.

I have never been good at masking, but this came out really good, if I say so myself.  I added some transparency paper to the top of the jar to give it so shine.

I am using it in the following challenges:
City Crafters - Just One Corner
   Curtain Call - Mason Jars
Di's Digitals - Ribbon, Lace or Twine
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes

This is probably it for tonight.  See you all tomorrow.

Back To School

Hello again.  Back again.

I really need to make a couple of back to school cards and I really need to mail them.  Maybe tomorrow, I will run to the post office and get some stamps.

I just had to make the bus trio card.  These trios are just so cute.  I have the pencil one also.  Maybe I will make it tomorrow.  I colored in the grill and the tires and added clear gems for lights.  The paper came from Happy Hearts Studios (the best digital paper ever.).  Then instead of a ribbon, I cut out an ABC.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Clear It Out = School
Cute Card Thursday - Back To School
Simon Says Wednesday - Back To School
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
3 Girl Jam - Anything Goes

Chat with you later....

Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello.  How is everyone doing?  I have really not done a lot of creating.  I hope the mood changes.  I only have two weeks left before school starts back.

Every year, I make little treats for everyone's birthdays.  I really wanted to have 15 done when school started, so all I would need to do is add the candle.  Today, I decided  to make some.  I have this die from Sizzix that I just love.  The ladies have seen it before but I love it because I can put anything on the top and make it different.

I picked this green paper and the yellow reminded me of honeycombs so I decided to put a bee on it.  I thought it came out really cute.  Now I only need 8 more treats.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Miss Kate's Cuttables - Sweet Treats
Paper Take Weekly - To Die For
Seize The Birthday - Anything That Flies
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes #41

Off to see what else I can do.

KaDoodle Bug Worm

Hello again.  I had a little bit of time before I had to start dinner.  So I decided to put a card together.  My niece is going to college to become a teacher so every hear she gets a package with a back to school theme.  This card is going in it this year.

I originally cut these worms out to go a candy bar holder for the ladies at work.  But I forgot to size them down and they are just too big.  I will but more out after dinner.  I got the worm from KaDoodle Bugs.  She has the cutest files.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
   Jo's Scrap Shack - Sketch
   Crafty Gals - Anything Goes
Paper Shelter - Back To School
Hiding In My Craft Room - Back To School 212B

Off to cook dinner and then I want to make a few more of these cards and then I have a few more things to finish up.  Chat with you then.

Cut It Up

Hello and Happy Friday.  I am working all weekend but I hope to have to fun crafting time, too.

It is time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  This is a fun but hard one.  The theme is Old School, use old supplies or an old technique.  Make sure to let us know which you are using.   The price is an $20 store credit from Newton's Nooks.  They have some of the cutest set.  Go check them out.

I decided to use an old stamp.  This is from the Stampin' Up Sunny Fun set.  I just love the three image stamps in this set.  I am going to leave them on my desk and I might use the others again, too.  In fact, the ice cream one may be pulled out this weekend.

I added gems to the middle flip flop.  I just wanted to make at least one have a 3D effect.  I colored everything with my copic markers.

I hope to see you over at Cut It Up for this challenge.  Have a great day.

Similar But Different

Hello again.  One more and I am calling it quits for the night.  I still need to post my card from last week.  Hopefully tomorrow.

I saw this card on Pinterest.  I thought it was cute so I decided to make a similar card.  I am not good at doing the stitch lines on my Silhouette so I decided to not use them.  I really need to practive doing them.  Maybe later this week.

The cupcake is a Spellbinder Shapeabilities.  I have had it a while and I need to use it more often.  It is nice being able to stamp and then cute the image.  The balloons is an old stamp I have had forever.

I am using it in the following challenges:
In The Pink - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday - Food and/or Drinks
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes #386
Wags N Whiskers - Frame It
Chocolate Coffee Cards - Frame It

I am back

Hello.  I am back.  Did you miss me?  I took a short time home to visit my parents.  My sister and I had hope to have some time to play but it just didn't work out.  We did make one card and I will post it in a little while.

I am so behind on challenges.  I pretty much had to start my whole list over.  That is okay.  It is nice to just step away some times.

It is hard to believe it is the middle of August already.  Time to start working on my countdown projects.  As always, I have big dreams, but I know I won't get all of them done.   I need to do 6 projects a month in order to have them done by Thanksgiving.  This is the second one for August.  I need to get busy.

I have been saving this boxes/tubes for a while.  I finally covered them with basic Christmas green paper and cut out a poinsettia from the Silhouette Online store.  I may make a few more later.  I have two left and then one smaller one.  I might as well get them all done.   When Christmas gets closer, I will cover some peppermint patties to go inside.

I am using them in the following challenges:
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Anything But a Card
Sugar Pea Designs - Christmas in July
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes

Off to clean off my table.  Chat with you later.

I'm Late

Hello.  I seem to say this a lot lately.  Friday was the start of a new challenge at Cut It Up.  I have been busy plus I am getting ready to go home for a short visit with my parents.

I really loved the theme this time around at Cut It Up. It is animals.  It is sponsored by As Cute As A Button.  The winner will get a $20 gift certificate.

I used the cute exercise bear from KaDoodle Bugs.  I am going to mail it to a walking buddy when I get home from my trip.

I hope to see you over at Cut It Up.  Have a great week next week.

Elephants

Hello and Happy Hump Day.

I am trying to get a few challenges done, since I am going on vacation (going to visit my parents and sisters) in a few days.  I am going by myself so I wanted to make a card to hide for my husband.  I don't know where I am going to hide it yet, but I knew it would be an elephant.

The sketch from Your Next Stamp was a quick and perfect one for the image.  The elephant and sentiment are from Craftin' Desert Divas.  I just love their stamps.  Great images and sentiments to go with the stamps.  Then I added some perler beads.  Everything except the background paper was from my scrap basket.  I love when I use my scraps.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes #195
   Brown Sugar - Animals
   Wags N Whiskers - Recycle
Your Next Stamp - Sketch #19
   Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes #148
   Cupcake Inspiration - Embellsihments
Pile It On - Sequins or Beads

I should be back with some thing else later.  Until have fun.

Sailor Bear

Hello and Happy Monday.  It has been a busy day full of laundry, straighten, ironing and taking the new kitty kat to the vet.  I finally took some time to play.

My sister and I cut this sailor bear out over a week ago.  We made the first one and never made a card or finished the second one we cut.  This week, I am trying to finish some unfinished projects and this was one of them.

The sailor bear is from KaDoodle Bugs.  He is just so adorable.  All the paper is from Happy Hearts Studio.  I love that she has packs so all the paper matches.  All you do is print it.  The ocean wave is washi tape.  I thought he would make a perfect birthday card for some of the males on my list this month.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
City Crafters - Masculine Birthday Card
Paper Take Weekly - Your Choice (Sketch)
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
   Tuesday Throwdown - Summer Fun
   Crafty Gals - Anything Goes

I should be back later with some thing new.  Have a great afternoon.
