Winter is still here

Hello.  I am so not ready to quit making Winter cards.  I still have quite a few I want to work on, so when my sister texted me and said she wanted to make some thing and didn't know how much time she would have.  I knew what I wanted to make.

I just love step cards  They are just so much fun.  This one is by Lori Whitlock and you can find it in the Silhouette store here.  I left off the Happy Holidays and used a Let It Snow stamp.  Plus I added another snowflake.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday- Layer It Up
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes #359
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes #376
   Die Cuttin Divas - Snowflakes
   Crafty Gals - Anything Goes

Off to clean my table off.  Chat with you later.  Have a great evening.

Bugaboo Elephant

Hello again.  If you have been to my site often, you know I just love elephants.

This is one of my favorites.  It is by Bugaboo.  I kept the card simple and quick to put together.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   CAS on Sunday - Love
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
   Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes

This is it for tonight.  I will chat with you again tomorrow.  Have a good night.

Winter Wonderland

Hello.  How is everyone doing?  This past weekend was crop/craft weekend.  I had planned on making lots of cards from my power kits and then posting for all of you to see.  I ended up leaving my tape gun at home and I didn't get any of the cards completed.  I did all of the color and basic stuff but I couldn't finish them.

So I am going to work on finishing them over the next few days.

This was one of them.  This card was so much fun to put together.  The background texture is one of my Sizzix folders.  The birch trees are from Lawn Fawn.  The Snowman is from Di's Digitals.  It just has a little of everyone on it.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Something Fun
Simon Says Wednesday - Add a Sentiment
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Just Add Ink - Something New (the Birch Tree dies are new)

Off to play around with something else.  Chat with you later.

Quick and Simple

Hello again.  I have a really quick and simple one for you.  The other day when I pulled out my glitter folder, I noticed I had a lot of red scraps.  I told myself, I would go back and use them for a Valentine's Day card.  Today was that day.

I used a die on the heart and the rose.  The Be Mine is from the Silhouette store.  I glued every thing together and there you have one quick and simple card.

I am using it in the following challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge - Happy Anything
   CAS on Sunday - Love

I don't know if I will be back tonight or not.  If not, have a great night.  Chat with you later.

Silhouette

Hello.  How are all of you?  I forgot to post my card yesterday.  How did I forget?  I even took the picture.  Oh well, here it is.

Yesterday, I wanted to do something with my Silhouette.  I made this card years ago for my son and I decided to make it again.  When I made it for him, I used a gray background instead of white.  And on the USB stick I put an Alabama A.  Yesterday, I just used the heart that came with it. You can find the file here.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Dream Valley - Anything Goes #170
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes #358

Off to play around.  Chat with you later.

Snow Day - Official Over

Hello again.   I did make it back tonight (or is it morning since it is now 1:30 am).  Here is the picture of my cleaned off table.  As I said earlier, I didn't get every thing done but the table looks clean and I have room to work now.

I left my next few projects on my work area.
     1)   I want to put the candy on the snowman toppers.  I need them for next Saturday.
     2)   I made the cute little Doodlebug coffee cups and I need to use them.
     3)   I saved the circles from the swing card and I thought I would use the bear and make some Christmas tags.
     4)   I want to make a couple of the Valentine's cards.

I don't think I will get any thing done tomorrow.  My husband and I are going to be out and about tomorrow.  Just spending the day together.

Chat with you later.  Have a good night.  Sleep tight and don't let those bed bugs bite.

Snow Day Part 3

Hello again.  Well this is the last one for today.  I forgot tonight was Game Night so I didn't get as much craft time as I was thinking.  But that is okay.  Game Night is always fun.

I worked on this card most of the afternoon. Even though, I had all the bears and pieces stamped and cut.  I still had to cut all of the card pieces including the mountain tops.  It took a long time, but it was worth it.  This is going to be one of my favorite cards for the year, I think.

I got the idea for the card from here.  I did make a few changes to make it mine.  All of the stamps come from the Beary Happy Holidays set from Lawn Fawn.  I cut the mountain tops from Silhouette Online along with the snow base.  The card is also from Silhouette Online.  I sized it down to fit two cards on a page.

This is just the cutest card.  If anyone from Lawn Fawn see this, thank you so much for the idea.  I just love it.  I am so glad I bought this set a couple of weeks ago.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday - Winter Blues
   Paper Shelter - New Beginnings
   Cupcake Inspiration - Winter
   The Cat's Pajamas - Make A Scene

I will post a picture of my table either later tonight or tomorrow morning.  I didn't get as much done as I wanted but it does look better.

Chat at you later.  Have a great night.

Snow Day Part 2

Hello again.  It has been a couple hours and I have a few things done.  I got several of the bulky things off my table.  My last card project is all cleaned up and put away.  I can actually see my table in spots.

I made this card last week and never posted it.  I love this style.  I have the pattern in a birthday pattern too.  Maybe I will make some of them after Valentines.   It doesn't leave a lot of room to write a note but I just think it is unique.

You can find the pattern over at Silhouette Online.  It is just a quick and cute card to put together.  One thing, I did different.  Instead of cutting pieces to go under the card.  I cut one long stripe.  I just like it a little better that way.

I added the flower/swirl texture to the big heart.  I thought about putting gems on it but I didn't not to.  I didn't have enough of the heart background paper so the last few had a different pattern.

I am going to use this in the following challenges:
City Crafters - All You Need Is Love
Simon Says Wednesday - Use Pattern Paper
As You Like It - Anything Goes
   Creative Knockouts - Anything Goes

Well off to work on something else.  Have a great day and I will chat with you later.

Snow Day

Hello.  How are all of you.?  It is a snow day here in Adrian.  I spent the morning finishing a book and straighten the bedroom and bath.  Now I am in my craft room.  It is a mess.   I have so many projects to finish up.

Here is a picture of my table.  I am determined to get in cleaned off and several of the projects finished and moved off the table.   So come back off and on today and see what kind of progress I make.  Plus hopefully, I will have several projects to show you.

I have finished the skating bear so I am going to clean up all of that mess and then move on to a step card using the same
stamp set.  I don't usually do that but I have several cards I want to make with this set.  Usually I put the set up and tell myself I will come back to it.  Sometimes I do and others I don't so I am just going to make the cards now.

Have a great afternoon.  Chat with you all in a little while.

Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays

Hello again.  I have had this new set sitting on my desk for several weeks.  I have a couple of cards, I want to make from it.  I stamped and cut all the pieces out earlier.  After dinner, I sat down and made this one.

I just love using the bear as a front and back swing.  He is just to cute.  All of the samples of this card that I saw online used a Christmas sentiment.  My sister used a Valentine's one, but I want a every day one so I could send it to some friends.

The Snow day came from Silhouette Online and the two snowflakes are punches.  I even used a standard scalloped circle die instead of cutting it with my silhouette.  I wanted to make sure all the layers were layered in the right spot.  I like the silver glitter paper layer.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Dies R Us - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Layer It Up
Cute Card Thursday - Something New
CAS-usal Fridays - All That Glitter

I really wanted to get both cards done but it is late and I have to work tomorrow.  Have a great night and I will catch you after work tomorrow.

Sneak Peek

Hello.  I am off to work on dinner but I wanted to post a sneak peek.  Guess what I am working with tonight.....

Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays.  I just love this set.  I have two cards I want to make tonight.   So come back later tonight and hopefully I will have at least one ready.

They are all stamped and cut.  All I need to do is color them and put the card together.

Have a great evening....

Dreaming Tree

Hello.  I know it has been around the last few days.

Monday night here in the US was a major collage football game and I just had to watch it.  It was the championship game and my favorite team was playing.  Go Bama....It was a great game.  Both teams should be proud.

Last night, I worked on this project.  I just didn't get it posted.  It took a long time.  I had to trace all the patterns and then cut them.  And of course, then put it together.  I think this is the first time, I have done such a big project in one night.  Usually I cut every thing one night and put it together then next.

This is from Dreaming Tree.  It took 18 sheets of paper.  But it was so worth it.  I just love how it came out.  I still need to put a ribbon around the candle but I don't have any thing wide enough, so I will try to pick some up over the next few days.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Creative Knockouts - Celebrations
   Di's Digitals - Celebrations
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes

Have a great evening and stay safe.

Cleaning Day

Hello.  I really wanted more craft time today but I spent most of the day cleaning and straighten.  My house is close to clean and all the clothes are washed and folded.  That is a big deal around here.

I still need to pull my card from the other day out.  Hopefully I will put it out tomorrow.

Here is my card for today.  It is using one of my favorite texture folders.  I added gemstones on the first one but then decided I wanted to use my red stickles instead.

Well off to bed.  Chat with you tomorrow after work.  Have a great day.

Tiddly Inks

Hello again.

Here is today's project.  I really meant to clean off my craft table.  It is a mess.  I have been working on packing away my Christmas countdown box for next year.  Which means making a box here or there.  And looking at my winter  stamps to see what I want to work with and then of course, I have started pulling out some of my Valentine's stamps.  So my table is just confusing to look at.

I got the last of the Christmas stuff put away today, but that doesn't mean I won't be working on more.  So I am down to Winter and Valentines.

This project was neither.  When I saw the email from Tiddly Inks yesterday,  I knew I was going to play with this little girl today.  I have a friend that just loves smiley faces.  I picked up the paper a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting for something to come along.  This was perfect.

I don't normal do pink hair.  I usually stick to browns but I thought it would look just right with the pink in the smiley faces.

I also updated my challenges today, so I am entering her in the following challenges:
   CASology - Encourage
Simon Says Monday - Something New
   MFT - Sketch #366
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes

Well I am off to straighten my desk.  I still need to post my card from Friday.  I finished it and put it way without taking a picture.  I will pull it back out in a little while.

Until then, have a great evening.

Valentine's, here we come

Hello.  I hope every one is enjoying their weekend.   It is still majorly cold here but I am just hanging out inside.

I have a couple of projects to show you.  Sorry I didn't get them posted daily.  I started this on Wednesday and finished it Thursday afternoon, but we had company and I didn't get it posted Thursday night.  So here it is.

I am quite proud of it.  I saw the tutorial for it over on Brigit's Scraps.  Before seeing the tutorial, I would have just made a box and put it between to two kisses.  But I followed the tutorial and added the box to the kiss.

When the tutorial starting talking about editing points, I had some trouble and couldn't get it to work so I just drew the lines and made the box.  Then I welded it together.  I can't tell you how exciting it is to get this to work.

The box is just a simple one but I learned a few thing along the way, so you will see me doing more of these.

I am off to work on dinner and then I will be back with another project.  Have a great evening.

Queen & Co

Hello and happy hump day.   Today was the first day back at school.  The adults were all ready to be back (mostly) but the kids not so much.

It was super cold outside and the week only promises to get colder.  I think our high today was a single digit.  And the wind chill made it below 0.  Such is the fun of living in the northern United States.

My project today is a card/kit, I got from Queen & Co back during the summer.  I hadn't taken the time to put it together.  I like the little camera.  Too cute.  Plus it is a shaker and I just love shaker cards.  I wonder who will get it......

I like all of the glitter, but if I make more, I won't use as much glitter.  Maybe just on the camera lens and the strip across the camera.  Plus I won't do to something different in the background.

Well off to work on some other things.  Have a great night and if you are in the middle of this cold front, please stay warm.

Day 2 - A Project Every Day

Hello again.  Today's project is another oldie but goodie.  Plus it was a quick one.

I made these a few years ago (before my Silhouette).  I decided I would make a few for next Christmas as extras in the countdown box or just to give out to friends and family.  As you can tell, they will hold candy canes.

The holder is cut from hand.  It is a 6 inch square.  Scored from top to bottom at 2 and 4 inches.  Then the center section is scored at 1 1/2 inches across and cut from the top to the score line.  This will be folded down.  Fold the first and last sections to the back and glue down.  Also glue the bottom.  I usually crimp the bottom, but I can't find my crimper (I will do that later.).  Fold down the top center section and glue it down.

The little girl is from Whimsie Doodles.  I just love their images but I don't use them as often as I use to.  I am going to try and change that this year.  I cut her out with my Silhouette.  I don't know how I managed without it to cut around my digital stamps.  I also offset her and cut it in red.  I wanted her to pop a little bit.  I put foam tape under her and put her on the front of my holder.

I only made one.  I have a crop this Saturday, so I am going to take the other and make them there.  I like to take kits so I know what I am working on and that I have everything that I need.

I haven't updated my challenge list in quite a while, but I know Whimsie Doodles always has a challenge.  I looked it is all wrapped up.  I think this cute little girl will work for that.  She looks all wrapped up in her warm jacket.  So I will be submitting her in the challenge.

I think this would be a cute idea for back to school aged kids.  You could put pencils, pens and/or lead pencils inside.  I may have to think about this.

Well, I am off to clean off my craft table and then I need to do a little work for my husband.  I don't know if I will be back later or not.  I hope so.

Have a great day.

Happy New Year

Hello and Happy New Year.  I hope everyone had a happy, healthy and safe Holiday.  It was a great one around here.  My son and his girlfriend were home for a few days and it is always fun having a houseful.  Even though, my cat hates when my son comes home because he always brings his dog and my cat hates him.

As always, I have gotten behind on posting.  I didn't even finish my Christmas countdown.  I am going to try and do better.  My goal for January is a project every day.  I don't know if I will make the post every day but I am going to try.  Since today is the second, there will be two projects posted.

Here is the first.  I finished these up yesterday.  I didn't attached the bags to the bottom because I am going to use them next Christmas.

I am going to pull out some of my old dies, punches and stamps this year.  I have so many that I love but I don't use them anymore.  Stampin' Up's TopNote die was one of them.  There was just so many things to use it for.  Hopefully, you will see it again this year.

I cut the topnote in white and then folded it in half.   The cut a black one and cut it in half and only use half of it.  The brim of the hat is 1 X 4.25.  Then I punched out his eyes and snowflakes using punches.  His nose is cut free hand and then added ribbon across the top of the hat brim.

I made a bunch of them. I am sticking them in my Christmas countdown box and they will be ready for candy in November when I start stuffing all of the countdown items.

Have a great day.  I will chat with you later today.
